Welcome to the NAD YLC 2009 Blog!
This blog is to keep YOU (parents, family, and friends) informed about your camper's happenings at NAD Youth Leadership Camp (NAD YLC). This is also a favorite site for NAD YLC Alumni to visit and reminisce. We will post a blog on a daily basis. Sometimes the campers will do it and some other times, the staff members. This blog will include highlights of the day, plenty of pictures to enjoy, and an occasion vlog to view and see a chock-full activities we have planned for 2009 NAD YLC campers.
The 2009 NAD YLC wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated and committed administration team and staff members who have decided to dub themselves, "Gizmo" this summer. A Gizmo is an unknown device that is integral to a machine’s success. The YLC Gizmo’s motto is: “Using small devices to fulfill great minds of tomorrow”. Fulfilling great minds is one of the staff members' utmost goals.
We had a constructive and fruitful staff training week. It was packed with teambuilding activities, workshops, First Aid Safety and CPR class. We had wonderful guests including Dr. Jeff Lewis and Maureen Brehens, both YLC alumni, and plenty of laughter! We couldn't have been more ecstatic and ready for the campers' arrival!
Let's meet the Gizmo team! *Drum roll*
